The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa was formerly known as Langkawi Village Resort. This resort attained a sound reputation as a value-for-money property with a superb location along Langkawi's premier beachfront, Pantai Tengah. In the beginning of 2006, Frangipani Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd took over the property and set about investing considerable capital to create a deluxe resort befitting its excellent location.
These developments include room refurbishments, building of additional rooms and suites, Coco Jam Beach Bistro and a new spa which is due for completion in mid 2009. Minor renovation works are on-going at the far end of the resort which is due for completion in mid 2009.
This secluded and eco-friendly resort is situated on a 300-metre stretch of soft golden sand along Pantai Tengah, southwest of Langkawi. Beachside location witn superb facilities
Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa is located on a 300-metre stretch of soft golden sandy beach. We have a total of 118 rooms, villas and suites. The standard rooms are located in clusters of 4 rooms in a double storey building while the superior rooms are located in clusters of 6 or 10 rooms in a double story building.
Our Family rooms and Junior Suite are located in the double storey building. All standard, superior, Family rooms and Junior Suite overlook the matured tropical gardens. Our Garden Villa and Sea View Beach villas are either individual or semi-detached single storey villas, spread over the 10-hectare resort.
One of the highlights in the villa is the semi-outdoor shower. The theme suites are located at premier locations in the resort offering stunning views of the sea.

Recretion activities
Langkawi is a group of 99 islands off the northwestern Malaysian coastline. Only three are developed and the rest are mostly covered in rainforests. These islands are home to many unique plants and animals that have sustained the island community for centuries.
Somewhere on or around Langkawi, depending upon the time of day, it’s possible to observe, a pod of Indo Pacific Humpback Dolphins, Brahminy Kites soaring in the sky, Oriental Pied Hornbills flying from tree to tree, rare Butterfly Lizards scurrying from their sandy burrows, Colugos gliding through the forest canopy, monkeys swinging through the trees or water cascading from waterfalls protruding from ancient rock formations.
